About Daryl Julie Rothman

A student at the University of Hartford, Daryl J. Rothman maintains a diverse schedule of academic pursuits and student leadership roles. Ms. Rothman plans to graduate in 2012 with an Undergraduate Diploma in Vocal Performance and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She maintains an impressive GPA while playing an active role in the college community. Ms. Rothman worked in the Admissions Office and then as a Resident Assistant (RA). In this capacity, she developed and nurtured a home space for more than 60 students, leading groupwide meetings as well as providing one-on-one support when necessary. Additionally, Ms. Rothman conducted a Stalking Awareness seminar as well as regular health and safety inspections. Her excellence in the role led to the post of Mentor Resident Assistant. Overseeing 15 RAs, Daryl J. Rothman translated her experience into supporting individuals as well as the campus by distributing monthly duty schedules, spearheading campuswide advocacy initiatives, and serving as the face of Residential Life on Admission Preview days. She additionally completed assessments with each RA twice a semester and presented her evaluations to the Resident Director. She currently serves as a special assistant to the Director of Student Life. In this capacity, Ms. Rothman continues to make significant contributions to the quality of student life.

Prior to enrolling at the University of Hartford, Daryl J. Rothman attended the Children’s Professional School in New York City. During her time there, she took advantage of several valuable educational opportunities, completing a three-year intensive program in The Juilliard School’s Pre-College Division as well as a program at the Académie internationale d’été in Nice, France. She also applied her passion for helping others to fulfill their potential as a two-time instructor with the Arts Council of Princeton day camp, a summer drama program for children. A person of manifold talents, Ms. Rothman spends her free time volunteering for numerous charitable organizations, including Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) in Passaic County and Cambiando Vidas.
